Nancy
Cherner, R.D.H, M.S., is a successful and innovative educator with over
20 years of experience in the dental field. She has both a Bachelor of Science
and a Master of Science from the University of Maryland School of Dental
Hygiene. Ms. Cherner served on the faculty of Montgomery College and Northern
Virginia Community College and as the Clinical Coordinator of the Dental
Hygiene program at Northern Virginia Community College. As the founder and
President of Educational Horizons, Inc., she has overseen the creation and
implementation of courses to train and educate dental health care professionals.
She created the first Review Course for the Dental Hygiene National and
Regional Board Exams. Ms. Cherner will continue working with CES by providing
further innovative ideas to enhance dental hygiene students preparation
for the Board Examination.

Elaine
Clayman, M.S., is an expert in course development who has worked with
Creative Educational Solutions or its predecessor for over 10 years. She
has a Master of Science from the University of Maryland Dental School. As
an instructor and consultant, Ms. Clayman has utilized organizational and
communication skills to teach practice management and staff development.
She created a nationally-recognized Occupational Safety and Health Training
Program for dental practices.

Richard
L. Wynn, M.S., Ph.D., holds a BS degree in Pharmacy, and the Masters
and Doctorate degrees in Pharmacology, all from the University of Maryland
at Baltimore. Dr. Wynn is a registered pharmacist and currently a Professor
of Pharmacology at the University of Maryland Dental School. He has chaired
the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Maryland Dental School
and the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Kentucky Dental
School. Dr. Wynn is a teacher, researcher and author. His laboratories have
contributed to the development of new analgesics and anesthetics used in
dentistry. He is a prolific writer, contributing chapters to textbooks and
articles to numerous professional journals, including his ongoing column,
Pharmacology Today, which appears in the journal General Dentistry.
He is the lead author of Drug Information Handbook for Dentistry,
and a co-author of Dental Office Medical Emergencies, and lead author
of the soon to be published Women's Health for Dental Professionals:
Featuring the Management of Dental Conditions Common to the Female
Patient-all published by Lexi-Comp publications. He is currently a consultant
to the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Wynn is a highly regarded national and international speaker and educator
who is devoted to updating dental professionals on all aspects of pharmacology
and drug therapeutics. He has been teaching the Pharmacology component of
the board review courses for Educational Horizons for 10 years.

Ann
Eshenaur Spolarich, R.D.H., M.S., Ph.D., received her certificate in
Dental Hygiene from the University of Pennsylvania, a baccalaureate degree
in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University, and both a Master of
Science in Dental Hygiene and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University
of Maryland at Baltimore. She is a licensed dental hygienist with 18 years
of clinical practice experience. Dr. Spolarich has held numerous faculty
appointments and research positions. She has presented scientific papers
at regional, national and international meetings, and has published in refereed
journals. She was the recipient of the 1997 Warner Lambert/ADHA Award for
excellence in Dental Hygiene. In 1998, she received the Thomas Jefferson
University Alumni Special Achievement Award given by the College of Health
Professions. Dr. Spolarich is a nationally recognized speaker, providing
continuing education courses for dental health care professionals. She has
been teaching the Periodontics component of the Board Review courses for
Educational Horizons, Inc. for 10 years, and is currently developing distance
learning courses for Creative Educational Solutions or its predecessor Online.

Marie
Varley Gillis, R.D.H., M.S., has a Masters degree in Dental Hygiene
from the University of Maryland, where she held a clinical teaching position.
She is a licensed dental hygienist with over 25 years of clinical practice
experience. Ms. Gillis is currently Associate Professor of Dental Hygiene
at Howard University where she teaches Periodontics and Senior Clinical
Seminar. She has published many articles and been awarded numerous grants,
research fellowships and academic awards. She has lectured locally and nationally,
and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Practical Hygiene.
Ms. Gillis has been active in the ADHA as a component and constituent president.
Currently she chairs the Ethics and Peer Review Committee for MDHA. She
is teaching the Clinical Dental Hygiene component of the board review courses
for Educational Horizons, Inc. and developing distance learning courses
for Creative Educational Solutions or its predecessor.

Lane
Thomsen, D.D.S., M.S., received his D.D.S. degree and a Masters in Oral
Pathology from Loma Linda University. He is currently Associate Professor
of Oral Pathology at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. Dr. Thomsen
served as Chairman of the Department of Oral Diagnosis, Radiology and Pathology
from 1984 to 1994, and as Associate Chairman from 1994 to the present. In
addition to teaching, he is a practicing dentist. Dr. Thomsen is a member
of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association,
the American Academy of Oral Pathology, and the American Association of
Dental Schools. He has published several articles, and lectures throughout
the United States. He has been teaching the Oral Pathology component of
the Board Review courses for Creative Educational Solutions or its predecessor,
Inc. for 8 years, and is currently developing distance learning courses
for Creative Educational Solutions or its predecessor.

Joanne
Schade-Boyce, R.D.H., M.S., is a dynamic instructor with more than 20
years of experience in the delivery of dental health care. She has a Master
of Science in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University. In addition to
teaching and lecturing, Ms. Schade-Boyce has been a clinician, business
administrator, and consultant. She has applied her diverse experience to
the development of contemporary educational courses for dental health care
professionals, including Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and Infection
Control courses. Ms. Schade-Boyce is a member of the Organization for Safety
and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP) and the National Association of Dental Practitioners.

Barbara L. Bennett, C.D.A., R.D.H., M.S., received her certificate
in Dental Hygiene from Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois, where she
held a faculty position for nine years. She received her Masters degree
in Technical and Adult Continuing Education from Eastern Illinois University
in Charleston, Illinois. Ms. Bennett has been actively involved as a dental
health care provider and educator for over 25 years. As the current program
Co-Chair for Texas State Technical College Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting,
she teaches Pre-Clinic, Pharmacology, Pathology, Community Dentistry, and
Oral Histology. She has been accepted as a doctoral student at the University
of Texas School of Public Health. Ms. Bennett is a nationally recognized
speaker on such topics as infectious diseases and the oral complications
of cancer therapy. She is co-owner of Adventures in Learning, a continuing
education company for health care professionals. Ms. Bennett is a contributing
author of the Complete Review of Dental Hygiene published by Prentiss-Hall.
She currently serves as a curriculum consultant for the American Dental
Association Council on Dental Accreditation. Ms. Bennett has been teaching
dental hygiene board review courses for over nine years. She teaches several
components of the board review for Educational Horizons, including Microbiology,
Immunology, and Community Dental Health.

Nancy C. Zinser, R.D.H., M.S., a practicing dental hygienist for
25 years, is currently Professor and Chair of the Dental Health Services
at Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, Florida. Her teaching responsibilities
include Periodontics, Pharmacology, Dental Anatomy, and Clinical Dental
Hygiene. The application of these subjects into the clinical arena for the
practitioner has been a focus of her numerous continuing education presentations.
Ms. Zinser has held leadership roles in her local, district, and state dental
hygiene societies. She has served as President of the Florida Association
of Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Educators. Ms. Zinser was awarded
the AADS/Procter & Gamble Crest 2000 Dental Hygiene Teaching Award and most
recently was the recipient of the ADEA/Block Drug Corporation Leadership
Institute Fellowship Award. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. Zinser
received her Certificate in Dental Hygiene and Bachelors Degree in Liberal
Arts from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Her Master’s Degree in
Dental Public Health was received from Boston University, Goldman School
of Graduate Dentistry, where she later held a faculty position. Ms. Zinser
is currently a doctoral candidate at Florida International University, where
she will receive her Doctorate in Education in 2002. She wrote the Tooth
and Root Morphology Board Review component for Creative Educational Solutions
or its predecessor.

Kim S. Ritchhart, R.D.H., M.P.A., received her degree in Dental Hygiene
from Lakeland College in Mattoon, Illinois, a baccalaureate degree in Education,
Training and Development from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale,
Illinois, and a Masters in Public Administration from Southern Illinois
University in Edwardsville, Illinois. She is currently working toward her
PhD in Community College Leadership at the University of Illinois in Champaign,
Illinois. Ms. Ritchhart’s interests are in teaching and learning within
the community college setting. As a licensed dental hygienist, she has had
a variety of clinical experiences during her 14-year career. Ms. Ritchhart
is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene
at Illinois Central College in Peoria, Illinois. She was awarded the Outstanding
Healthcare Educator for 1999 in Peoria County. Ms. Ritchhart has written
the Community Dental Health component of the Educational Horizon’s Online
Board Review.
